ABOUT

Drawn Arc Stud Weld Products for Ship Building

Drawn arc stud welding is widely used throughout the shipbuilding industry due to its strength, speed and reliability when fastening components to steel structures. The process creates a full-strength weld between the stud and the base material in a single operation, making it ideal for attaching insulation pins, threaded studs and other fastening elements to ship walls, ceilings, floors and deck plates. This method provides a secure, permanent fixing while maintaining efficiency in demanding marine production environments.

Hilbig GmbH stud welding systems are designed to support these specialist applications, offering dependable performance for both shipbuilding and marine insulation installations. If you would like to learn more about how stud welding is used within shipbuilding, you can also read our detailed blog article which explores the process, benefits and typical applications of stud welding in marine construction.
