New to Studwelding?

DA = Drawn Arc.

CD = Capacitor Discharge.

SC = Short Cycle.

These are three different types of studwelding methods in everyday use.
The menu above will guide you to the various section of our web pages where you will find more information for each process and products.

CD 200

COMPACT and PORTABLEE
Using the latest inverter technology means that the controller weight is less than half that of many other conventional CD welding machines making the equipment easily portable.

IMPROVED WELDING RESULTS

Large capacitors result in a slow discharge and improved arc melt leading to better weld strength, improved reverse marking and reduced weld spatter.

REDUCED NOISE
The softer nature of the discharge action generates less noise. Fitting a nose cone rather than the standard tripod leg assembly will reduce noise even further.

ACCURATE & EASY ADJUSTMENT
Digital displays allow for accurate monitoring of all functions. A stabilized circuit maintains voltage irrespective of input fluctuations.

INTELLIGENT CONTROLLER

The controller can automatically sense and adjust for varying voltages from 100 - 250 volts AC and for different mains frequencies from 50 - 100Hz. It can also sense and adjust accordingly for hand tools on stud or shroud ignition.

QUALITY & RELIABILITY
The CD200 controllers have a strong, robust construction comprising of an aluminium cage within an outer steel case. Recessed front and rear panels protect the dials and plugs. The use of soak tested components ensure maximum durability and a long working life.

INCREASED PROFITS
The rapid welding action substantially reduces the weld time. There is no requirement for a transformer thus a large fan is not required to disperse heat.
A dramatic improvement in dust ingress reduces problems with electronic failure caused by tracking and overheating.

TESTED TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL
The EU issues a directive that all Arc Welding Equipment must be certified to the product standard for electromagnetic compatibility. Using a N.A.M.A.S. accredited test house, the CD200 has undergone the highest level of testing to ensure all requirements are met. Every equipment has it own EC Declaration of Conformity and has full CE marking.

SAFETY AND PROTECTION
Two independent circuits prevent unintentional firing. One circuit senses the absence of resistance between the stud and work piece whilst the other circuit requires the nose cone tripod legs or the stud to be in electrical contact. The equipment will failsafe in the unlikely event of a component failure.
